Persevering

On August 31, 2017 not long after we moved into our new place we noticed a spider outside one of our windows.  At first I was a little nervous about it, as it wasn’t a tiny spider, but as the days went by I started to become fonder of it.  I would watch it as it spun its web round and round.  The spider would keep doing that until it was finished. It was amazing to see the masterpiece the spider would make with its web.   Then one day lots of rain and wind came and the spider’s web became damaged.   I was a little sad to see that as the spider had done all that hard work on its web.   The spider didn’t seem to think anything of it, as it went back to fixing its web.   At one point the web came apart when we opened our window, but the spider kept persevering on as it mended its web. After watching the spider, it made me think of how similar our human spirit can be.   As babies, we learn how to walk by first crawling.   After we master that...

A Friend’s Wedding

I recently attended my friend’s wedding on August 19, 2017.   It truly was a great wedding to go to as I’d have to say it’s the most fun I’ve had at a wedding.   It was great to see the different cultures shown throughout the ceremony as well as the passion the bride and groom had for each other in all of it. It was so exciting to see my friend get married as I’ve known her for 20 years.   To meet her as a preteen and now to see her as a very strong and beautiful woman was incredible to see.   She looked stunning in her dress that was just right for her.   It’s great seeing different dresses for a bride as the same dress on one bride may not look as great on them as another one would.   That’s why it’s always important to try on many dresses to find out what suits you. As usual the groom was in front first.   The wedding was outside, which was so peaceful.   The groom was wearing white, which I liked as it matched the bride’s dress. ...

A helping hand

On August 10, 2017 I was thinking I find that in life when we are little, we are completely dependent on someone else.   If we are a baby, we need to have food fed to us.   If we are a young child, we have to hold hands with an adult as we cross the street.   If we are a pre-teen and we are in different activities, we must be driven around in a car by our parents. As we become teenagers and adults, things start to change to where we don’t need others as much.   I do think it is important to go through a phase in our lives where we become completely dependent on ourselves, but staying in that stage isn’t healthy. I found that I grew up earlier than I had hoped for.   I was an adult at sixteen years old, and at first, I loved it as I didn’t have to be under the authority of anyone but myself.   Even though I could do whatever I wanted to, I was never the type to get out of control and go past my own boundaries. I could have easily gone out partyi...
